Narrative Battle Telling- for October 12^th –

Note: I’m not a writer, this write up is just for fun. I challenge everyone to follow my lead.  1850 points, The Relic.. super fun.

Overlord BenderHoeTep Smiled as the 2^nd to last episode of breaking bad finished, with a Robotic yawn BHT reached for the control console.. it lay slightly out of reach. After stressing his servos one more time he sent a priority request to his Cyptek Walter(lovenly named after the BB charater). Being the Overlord of a small band of loyal Necrons had its perks; it’s just a bit lonely as his minions lacked creativity and spontaneity.  BHT had been sleeping for thousands of years and while the other Lords of the Necron were eager for the re conquest of the galaxy, BHT was more interested in finding good media.  Many Necrons from the lower ranks had flocked to his side after he shared his Batman collection on the InterNetron , Most importantly truly insane destroyer Lord ToeKayBee (whom commanded a large contingent of Crynoteck)… true story, ToeKayBee actually thinks he is the character 2-face.. Forever chasing Batman.

Walter finally showed up,   “Walter, engage the next episode of breaking bad and leave” the Tech shuffles over to the Control console and began accessing the data. His motions began to hasten and a small shadow of fear crept into BHTs mind.. He watched as the tech became more hyper and then suddenly froze. “What’s the matter, Walter?”.. . . . . Erm, we have no record of the last episode.. Erm “well where can we find it!”  Scanning…  Scanning – recommendation planet system: Astranar.

The approach was easy, the system was in total chaos with some kind of strange convergence.. Just outside of the Hive city Stu was a secluded mountain, the perfect place for a base.   Walt had located a secluded data repository within striking distance and waited for command.  BenderHoeTep Summoned Lord ToeKayBee – “Greeting Lord ToeKayBee, the glory will be yours if you can achieve this Vital goal” Exclaimed BHT, “We’ll being firing one shot from the Doomsday Cannon to destroyer the structure and make sure no fleshies are hiding inside.. Then you and your men swoop in and take the data repository!” Lord ToeKayBee responded with his affirming “Eng” sounds.. “Walter Prepare the Cannon, Lord ToeKayBee prepare your men.”

As the Biologic dissolving blasts from the Cannon flew past the fast moving Necron force, Lord ToeKayBee and his brother Count Goomie linked up with their wraith wings. Each Destroyer lord would inspire their six wraiths with unrelenting hatred. For support they brought 3 spyder and a small brood of Scarabs, which would grow rapidly if needed. 2 Barges and 2 Night scythes full of Necron Immortals. The job of collecting the depository was tasked to the Immortals; they had the best finger servos’.

The necron force landed surprised to see a small pack of armoured women standing against their advance….   With ease Lord ToeKayBee secured a ring around the target as the Wraiths fended off  Marines coming from every angle, ever being thrown down but  the Space Marines keep Rallying and hosing on fire again and again.

Immortal Squad Alpha dropped down and took aim at the dreadnoughts, while the Omega took aim at a tactical squad. One Spyder ruptured to death while birthing Scarabs the remaining 2 Spyders leapt into the fray engaging a lone dreadnought, eventually pummelling it to scrap. The Scarabs tied up 3 more dreadnought and the foolish Saint Celestine, whom valiantly fought on while just covered in Waves of Scarabs.

~ Lord Vulkan came Hurtling down from the sky in his drop pod, right into the Center of the necron Ring.. Even though his Unit was instantly Kill by Wraiths, he ran away, only to Rally and slay the Alpha Immortal Squad which had been weakened by the TAC squad. Seeing Alpha go down hard Omega Immortals jumped back into their Night scythe evading the endless bolter fire from the Marines.

Standing on the large pile of entangled Marine and Immortal carcasses Lord Vulkan scream his Superiority, only to be gunned down by combined fire from Night Scythe and Annihilation barge. Count Goomie charged over War machines and scarab bits to counter Saint Celestine’s savage onslaught.    Omega Immortals disembarked awkwardly from the Night Scythe a bit out of position, after taking some pot shots they begin a clumsy march to the Data repository (Relic) .   Saint Celestine showing incredible mental toughness fends off Count Goomie’s Mind Shackle Scarabs, only to be run threw by his girthy War scythe.

The small Elite Necron force began to wilt, desperately regrouping towards the depository the Necrons fought on., Lord ToeKayBee joined the remaining Immortals to shield them from presistant bolter fire, hoping they could complete the mission -> when<- out of the darkness Saint Celestine suddenly reappeared, her flamer unleashing a torrent of death and focusing the remaining bolter fire onto the immortal squad. While the impressive fire would normally have won the day the necrons weathered it, if not for one stray Melta shot that hit Lord ToeKayBee right on the chin, disabling him for a time and sending the Necron forces to phase out, the game ended with the Relic just out of reach by the Immortals and Lord Vulkans force winning 3-2. While watching the video footage Overlord BenderHoeTep reached out and grasped, once again his prize was just out of reach.

I made at least 2 major mistake, I didn’t secure the relic with my immortals due to poor movement, and I didn’t secure line breaker or move fast enough to challenge lands.
